On Saturday 10/10/2015 at 02:11 am an Officer on patrol was flagged down by the Hodle Tavern on N. Front St. in New Freedom Borough for a fight and hit and run.

A fight occurred that started inside the bar and continued in front of the bar between two male subjects. One of the male subjects backed into an occupied car of an uninvolved patron with his pick-up truck and fled just before police were flagged down. A description of the vehicle and name of the subject were obtained and Southern Regional Police located the male driver just after he arrived home on Runningboard Rd. in Hopewell Twp.

The male, age 21, was taken into custody and transported to central booking for a blood alcohol test and processing. Charges are pending for DUI, disorderly conduct, and Accidents involving damage to attended property (hit and run).
