Person Involved: Unnamed male subjects who were 14 and 15 years old
Incident Summary:

On Wednesday morning just after midnight Officers from Southern Regional Police were in the parking lot of the Rutter's on W. Pennsylvania Ave. investigating a DUI.  While there a citizen alerted the officers to two male subjects hiding behind the car wash.  Officers walked around behind the subjects who were 14 and 15 years old.  Both had alcohol in their system and just wrote derogatory comments about police in the condensation on the car wash windows.  Knives were found on the subjects and they were returned to their guardians.  Charges are pending for underage drinking.

Later in the morning at 8:15 am officers took reports for vehicles on Broadway that had their tires cut.  A total of (8) vehicles / (9) tires were cut and destroyed.  Based off the earlier incident at the Rutter's officers were able to identify and link the 14 and 15 year males to the tire slashing.

Charges are pending against an adult male for the non-related DUI just after midnight, underage drinking for the two males hiding behind the car wash, and criminal mischief for the 14 and 15 year old males who cut the tires.  Estimated damage is $1500.00.  Restitution will be requested for the victims.

Investigation revealed that the juveniles drank alcohol and walked to Rutter's to get food.  They were upset that they couldn’t go into the Rutter's because police were in the parking lot investigating a DUI, so they cut tires and wrote derogatory comments about the police.
